Please join us THIS SATURDAY September 25 from 7 – 9am for an exciting opportunity to learn about and identify our bird neighbors at Rainbow Beach Dunes. Experienced birder Nick Block will be our guide to the flying fauna that live in or just pass through our backyard. Please bring binoculars or bird identification guides if you have them!
Note that parking meters have been established in both the Rainbow Beach parking lots, but you can easily avoid the extra few dollars by walking, biking or taking public transit.
Rainbow Beach is located at 3111 E. 77th St. By foot, walk east from South Shore Dr. on 77th St. By car, enter from 79th St., go past the water treatment plant, and park in the first parking lot. Please meet at the nature area, which is located at the southern end of the beach. Tools and equipment will be provided, but please bring water and dress appropriately for the weather.
